Gifted, talented and versatile are just a few words that best describe singer, songwriter, musician, producer, composer actor & director alvin frazier. Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, he has been singing since the age of two. A self-taught musician, alvin would teach himself to play 4 instruments; piano, guitar, bass & drums. Growing up with 2 musician parents it was inevitable that the young aspiring artist would also pursue a path in music and the arts. Over the years he would hone his craft and build a reputation for being a dynamic performer and entertainer who leaves his audiences spellbound.
As a recording artist, alvin has released and produced 2 albums as a vocalist, “Love & Faith: Vol. 1” (2006) and “A Wonderful Love: Love & Faith Vol. 2” (2013). His latest project "A Wonderful Love" entered the UK Soul Chart at #27 and within a few weeks reached #2. The album was also awarded as one of the Best R&B / Soul albums of 2013 in Japan. He has also produced music for various independent artists. An established vocalist, musician and performer alvin has shared the stage with the likes of George Clinton w/ Parliament - Funkadelic, The Ohio Players, Chante’ Moore, Eric Roberson, Brandon Williams, Kenny Lattimore, Avery Sunshine, Najee and Angie Stone.
Aside from performing and touring, alvin is also an accomplished actor and has appeared in over 10 films. Recently appearing in the highly-anticipated Miles Davis biopic "Miles Ahead" with Don Cheadle, the Lifetime film "With this Ring" with Jill Scott, Regina Hall, Eve & Gabrielle Union and toured as the leading man in the stage play “SOULmate?” opposite Taral Hicks of the films “Belly” & “A Bronx Tale”. A loyal member and supporter of the local film community, alvin has appeared in 5 films that have been featured in GCUFF since the festival’s inception in 2012. He even wrote, directed and produced a short film “Learning to Walk” that was shown in the festival in 2015 and co-wrote and developed the story for the film “Hand Delivered” in which he also starred in 2016.
